Vocabulary Awareness |
The purpose of this activity is to introduce vocabulary that you will need to know to engage in the negotiation. How well do you know these words? Put the check mark in the appropriate column. Then, working with a partner, discuss these words.
While preparing for and conducting negotiations you will see these words in different contexts. Eventually, they will become part of your active vocabulary. At the end of this module you will look at the list again to see if you can "move" any of the check marks to the right.
Example:
| Dont recognize | Recognize but dont understand | Understand but cant use | Understand & can use (one meaning) | Understand. & can use (more than one meaning) | |
message |
settlement |
Now check these words:
| Dont recognize |
Recognize but dont understand |
Understand but cant use |
Understand & can use (one meaning) | Understand. & can use (more than one meaning) | |
