Negotiators' comments from 1996-1997 Inspire negotiations What do our users say? What I liked about this assignment was the chance to learn about Interneg as a possible way to do business in the future, with people all over the world. ... I don't think the negotiation was difficult at all; I found it very easy to follow. Also, the Interneg explanations and definitions helped me a lot. I really enjoyed this project! Antonio When I was a member of the Nownuri Network Company in Korea I did not use the InterNeg for negotiations because I thought it was very difficult. Now, after having worked with InterNeg, I don't have that anxiety and I find it very interesting. Thank you! Tae Im Kang I am very interested in Internet and I found it exciting to be able to negotiate through the WWW. Woo-Jin Yim At first I thought the negotiation was an easy process but I encountered difficulties. I tried and failed a few times but finally I decided to use the Interneg on-line help. I am now able to send and receive messages without much difficulty. I have now sent my second offer and I am waiting for my counterpart's reply. I am finding the process of coming up with the right price somewhat difficult but at the same time interesting and stimulating. Thank you! Sun-Seok, Kwon (Steven) After my negotiations have finished I decided to use Internet more often because the experience I got from the InterNeg system was excellent. Fayad, Abdelrasoul It was for the first time that I negotiated over Internet. It was fun, interesting and I enjoyed doing it. ... The negotiation made me thinking and relating to real life. It is a good practice. Hai An Nguyen Why would you use INSPIRE? "It a good system, for practise of negotiations. Does not have the human touch" "provides human contact free environment. Thus useful when I am in intimidating situations." "Helps to hone the skills of negotiations" "It is great fun to hone skills of negotiating without somebody putting airs (more than fundaaas). It was a good experience" "it is a good package giving useful info about how I stand to gain at each negotiation stage and how can i improve better. I think that is the most fundamental dilemma we face in life." "i would if i have the chances because it save a lot of troubles in calculating the rating , and etc. it also don't need too much hand writing." "Becuase Interneg is extremely cooperative platform for negotiation" "I can learn the negotiation skill from my partner" "I would use Interneg because I found it is very interesting to practice and it would be very useful, too." Comments and suggestions "Make the scores automatic after I choose a particular package. ... I sincerely belive that helps the user to appreciate how far is he from a `nondominated solution'." "I think the automatic rating system is not very good, since usually a person may have at least two or three acceptable choices which may be taken as the same priority. It's very difficult to tell difference between these choices." "I feel, the post-negotiation improvement should be online. Can I have the help popping up before I committ to my counterpart. Also I request you to indicate the figure on scores the red color curve refers to... and the green refers to ....... "Can I have a feedback other than Congrats you have done a good job!!, please. It may help somebody to know did they rush in/caved in early. Do you really catch this in the system" |
